One of iListBox's most innovative features is Easy Notes. Simply: notes, picture, files, multimedia can be attached to any list as an Easy Note. Many note taking programs just let the users attach notes to categories, and that's it. The way iListBox handles notes is so much more powerful and a better way to organize the information you want to keep. Attaching a note to a list allows the user to track the note by any field being captured in the list its attached to. If your a student using iListBox to capture class notes, field attributes might be class name, date, processor, subject being discussed, or any other fields you might want to capture about the class. This is better than using just a category because a category has only one one attribute, its name.
Mac and Windows Friendly
iListBox works on either Apple Mac or Microsoft Windows based computers. However, it was designed from the perspective of a Mac user so everyone will find it easy, cool and fun to use. Special Note about the MAC Version: iListBox is holding back releasing the Mac version until the Winter of 2006-07 in order to offer one Universal Binary version that supports both the older Macs with PowerPC processors and newer Macs with the Intel processors. Protect your Privacy
iListBox leverages many advanced capabilities of the Internet, but your data is always stored on your computer. As an option, your List Boxes (lists) can be password protected. For even more security, lists can be encrypted using a key of your choice (another kind of password).
Powerful Internet Software
Built into iListBox is a feature called ClubListBox (available in Spring 2007). ClubListBox is Internet Software for iListBox Members. ClubListBox gives Members the ability to share lists over the internet to either people they know, or to the entire network of other iListBox Members. iListBox also includes a powerful private messaging feature that allows Members to carry on confidential communications with each other anonymously, using an alias, or using real names.
List Data Visualization
iListBox has an innovative graphical visualization feature that let users link their data in optional user defined Maps. This visualization feature helps people who are visually inclined see their data in graphical formats.
Membership
There are two versions of iListBox available, a Member version and Non-member (free) version. One piece of software that you download supports both versions. Members have full access to all of iListBox's features. Non-members have limited access to features (for example: encryption and ClubListBox are the two major features only available to Members). However, the biggest limitation for non-members is the ONE list limit. Non-members can not create or edit more than ONE list on their computer. But since one list can contain multiple entries, a non-member can enter many things into iListbox as long as the items being entered are contained in only one list.
Trial Membership
Anyone can try iListBox as a full Member for limited time. At the end of the, trial unless a Membership is purchased, the software will automatically switch off the Member features. At such time, you can still use the software a Non-member. |
