There are two versions of iListBox available, a Member version and Non-member (free) version. One piece of software that you download supports both versions. Members have full access to all of iListBox’s features. Non-members have limited access to features (for example: encryption and ClubListBox are the two major features only available to Members). However, the biggest limitation is the Non-member ONE list limit. Non-members can not create or edit more than ONE list on their computer. But since one list can contain multiple entries, a non-member can enter many things into iListbox as long as the items being entered are contained in only one list.
Anyone can try iListBox as a full Member for limited time. At the end of the, trial unless a Membership is purchased, the software will automatically switch off the Member features. At such time, you can still use the software a Non-member.
Members are eligible to received Software Updates for a period of one year from the date a Membership is purchased. If after the one year period, the Member can continue using the iListBox as a Member without updating the program. If however the Member chooses to install a Software Update after the one year period, the Member will need to renew their Membership, which would entitle the Member to another year’s worth of Software Updates. There is no obligation to renew a Membership. The current Membership renewal cost is $19.00 (US Dollars), which is subject to change.
One Household (one physical address), can share a single iListBox Membership on multiple computers as long as those computers are running the same platform Operating System (Windows, Mac or Linux).
iListBox is designed and licensed to support multiple users on one computer.
Members have full access to all of iListBox’s features. Non-members have limited access to these features. The biggest difference between Non-members and Members is the One List Limit placed on Non-members.
Non-members can only add and edit List Items in one List Box. If the Non-member has other List Boxes on their computer, they will be able to view the contents of these List Boxes, but they will be restricted from adding List Items or editing List Items to these List Boxes.
If user has several List Boxes already loaded in the software and was either using the software in a Trial or let their Membership expire, when the user becomes a Non-member, the iListBox software will choose which List Boxes to restrict access to. The first List Box found by the software, when sorted alphabetically (by Name), that the user has entered List Item in, will be the one List Box the software will allow full access to. The balance of the List Boxes will be restricted.
Why does iListBox have this One List Limit? iListBox balances the need for users to use the software for free and the need to add advanced features to the software. Writing, improving and maintaining iListBox is a costly endeavor. We think the One List Limit allows everyone access to the software that needs it, but for the advanced features, the cost structure to purchase a Membership is reasonable. The revenues gained from Memberships are used to extend iListBox’s features and pay for support.
