One: Platform Independence
Three versions of iListBox are available Mac, Windows and Linux Mandrake. It should be noted, most of my efforts have been spent on the Mac and Windows versions because of the popularity of these operating systems. The Linux version is ‘beta’ and should be used accordingly.
Two: Mac Usability for all Platforms
Die hard Mac users should be satisfied using iListBox. Windows users will benefit with iListBox’s Mac centric design. But the Mac or Windows user interface standards you have become accustomed with have not be ignored in the software’s design.
Three: Non Bloating Software
Mac users don’t need to worry about this, but typically, the more software you load on a Windows based computer, the slower it will perform. This is not a worry with iListBox. iListBox is a self-contained application. iListBox doesn’t use the Window’s Registry, DLLs, run double secret processes in the Task Manager, run sneaky programs at startup, or rely on shared window’s services you may or may not have installed. This means while the iListBox program is a bigger application, it won’t contribute to making your computer run slower. It also means the software can be uninstalled completely.
Four: Built-in Suggestion Box
As the primary author if iListBox, hope you’ll find iListBox useful. I want to make it great. If you do find it useful, you’ll want iListBox to be just as great for you as for me. iListBox contains a built in suggestion box. Your feedback and any idea(s) you may have are critical. Your feedback gets sent directly to my attention so I can make iListBox better for everyone.
Five: Auto Updating
The iListBox software will automatically keep itself current with the latest release of the software. This feature can be easily turned off if desired. This updating process will not get inthe way of any other task you might be doing on your computer.
